🖋️ Booking & Project Terms

Ready to bring out the magic in your story? Here is how we work together to ensure your manuscript gets the "Gold Standard" treatment.

1. The Booking Process

• Initial Consultation: We’ll discuss your goals, genre, and timeline.
  - Free Sample Edit: I offer a free 1,000-word sample edit for all new clients. This ensures our styles are a perfect match before any contracts are signed.
  - The Quote: After the sample, I will provide a fixed-price quote based on your total word count. No hidden hourly fees or "surprise" extra costs.

2. Payment & Deposits

To secure your spot on my editorial calendar:

• Booking Deposit: A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your start date.
• Milestone Payments: For full-length novels, we can split the remaining balance into two parts (e.g., 50% at the start and 25% upon completion).
• Secure Invoicing: All payments are processed via Payoneer. You can pay securely with any major Credit Card or ACH Bank Transfer (USD/CAD).

3. Timeline & Delivery

• Agreed Deadlines: We will agree on a "Delivery Date" before work begins. I value your publishing schedule and pride myself on punctuality.
• The Deliverables

You will receive two versions of your manuscript:
- A "Marked-Up" version (using MS Word Track Changes) showing every edit and editorial note.
- A "Clean" version with all changes accepted for your easy review.

4. Author’s Voice & Final Authority

• This is your book. My job is to refine your voice, not replace it.
• The Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS): I edit to the latest industry standards, but the "Author's Word is Law." You have the final say on every suggestion I make. I will do my best to provide an explanation of all my edits and changes, but it's solely up to you to accept them or not.
• Communication: I am available via email for follow-up questions for 14 days after the final delivery to ensure you are 100% satisfied with the polish.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

• If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 7 days' notice.
• In the unlikely event that I cannot complete your edit due to an emergency, your deposit and any unearned fees will be refunded in full immediately.
