Turnaround time varies based on manuscript length, but for the average length of about 50K words, it typically ranges from three to four weeks for thorough editing. Unless, of course, there are multiple and deep issues with the material that need to be resolved. Then it may take somewhat longer. Also depends on the quality and speed of communication between author and editor.

Yes, we offer a free sample edit of up to 1,000 words to demonstrate our editing style and compatibility with your work. This should enable you to make a fair assessment and decide.

We provide a 10% discount for new clients on their first full manuscript edit to welcome them to our services.

Yes, of course. We work with American and British English. We primarily work with all English-speaking countries (US/UK/CAN/AUS/NZ). 

I primarily use Payoneer for all international transactions. It is a secure, global platform that allows you to pay via credit card, debit card, or bank transfer, even if you don't have a Payoneer account yourself. Unfortunately, due to regional banking restrictions, I cannot accept PayPal at this time. But I think Payoneer has an arrangement where you can use PayPal to pay a Payoneer account. Check it out. There are always some upgrades to the services.

To secure your spot on my editorial calendar, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins. The remaining balance is due upon delivery of the final edited manuscript.

Absolutely not. My goal is to apply a Maturity Protocol to your prose—fixing structural gaps and mechanical errors while preserving the unique emotional resonance of your characters. I provide suggestions, but as the author, the final 'creative' word is always yours.

A lot of people (some of them are even experienced pro editors!) are still confused about this, so let's address it here.

A developmental edit is when the editor reads your entire manuscript and lays out openly before the author the strengths and weaknesses of the story, points out plot holes and inconsistencies, and gives possible solutions and directions in which it could or shoud develop to make it as effective a read as possible.

A line edit is where the editor, after the developmental edit is done and all major inconsistencies are solved, begins the detailed task of revising the text line by line, paragraph by paragraph, fixing not only the grammar but the flow and sound of the words and sentences according to the genre, preserving the author/character voice, all the while finding ways to make it sound as smooth and impactful as possible.

Sometimes the line editor also does the copy editing, fixing more detailed issues of grammar and mechanics, and this is what I do too.
